Namche Trekking -5 days

Namche Trekking is an exciting short trekking in Everest region. Namche Trekking encompasses Lukla, Namche, Sagarmatha National Park and Hotel Everest View.

Namche Trekking begins with a short and scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport. It is 30 minutes flight.  We encounter with our team and begin our trekking to Phakding. We spend our first night at Phakding and experience Everest region for the first time. Actually, Phakding is located at lower elevation than Lukla.

The next day, Our Namche Trekking lets us experience Sagarmatha National Park, the national park located at the highest elevation on the planet, and its rare species of flora and fauna. Our trekking via Sagarmatha National Park finally takes us to Namche Bazar.

Final section of the trail while getting to Namche Bazar is a bit challenging for the beginners.  It is steep from the suspension bridge till we get to the next settlements of Namche Bazar.

Namche Bazar is the capital of Khumbu or Everest region. It is also  a popular tourist hub with luxurious restaurants and hotels. Tourists wonder to see such facilities in Namche Bazar. So, majority of tourists view that Namche is a must visit place in Nepal.

Traditional Tibetan Market, Sherpa Cultural Museum, Hotels and restaurants, Thamserkhu mountain and Hotel Everest View are the prime attractions of Namche Bazar.

We further trek up to Hotel Everest view in the morning next day and capture mesmerizing sunrise and mountain panorama including the top of the world, Mt. Everest ( 8848m). Finally, we descend to Namche Bazar and head back to Lukla to end our trekking via Phakding.

Accommodation

We will offer three star accommodations in Kathmandu . If you want to upgrade the accommodation, you have to pay some extra. Mountain accommodation during the trekking days will be very ordinary and basic. All accommodation will be on twin sharing basis. Single supplementary has to pay extra.  We spend the night at lodges and guesthouses. We occasionally get attached bathrooms. eNepaltour Pvt. Ltd. tries its best to book the A grade accommodation in the mountain prior to the trekking unlike other populated regions.

If you really want luxury accommodation even in Namche, we can arrange it.

Meals

We provide only breakfast in Kathmandu and during the trekking days. In the trekking days, you pick up the item mentioned in the menu at the lodge or guesthouse and you will enjoy it. Sometimes, in a big group, you may have buffet service too. This takes place especially in peak season (Sept-Nov).  Breakfast will be provided at the guesthouse where we spent the night, lunch somewhere in the middle of the next destination and dinner at the guesthouse where we stay tonight. We offer you typical organic Nepali cushion which are really amazing.  

Best Time to Travel

Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best time for Trekking. The weather is delightful and pleasant during autumn. The mountain views are astonishing.

The hills are wrapped with beautiful flowering rhododendron during spring. Majority of the trekkers find Spring best time for Namche Trekking since they love to see flowering rhododendron in Sagarmatha National Park.

Winter( Dec-Feb) will be very harsh due to cold and cloudy weather which hide the mountain peaks.

Summer will be too hot for some trekkers. Heavy rainfall occurs and disturbs the transportation and even walk in the mountain.

Physical Condition and Experience

Those who can walk 4-5 hours in the mountain can do this trek.  Namche Trekking  is an easy  trek in Everest Region Trekking in Nepal . Regular exercise, jogging and short hiking enhance your stamina and confidence. No prior trekking experience and technical skills are required for Everest View Trekking. These prior skills will be an asset for it.

Getting to the trailhead and Away

We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. It is short 30 minutes flight.  Lukla is the beginning point of Namche Trekking. We again end our Namche Trekking at Lukla and take a scenic flight to Kathmandu. 

Threats and Safety

We do not really face such terrible threats during Namche trekking. There is no any slippery and steep trail  and challenging passes in Namche Trek. Sometimes, steep uphill while getting to Namche Bazar from the suspension bridge may be challenging to the beginners.

There are few cases the trekkers suffered from altitude sickness. It may be because dehydration and lack of stamina. Report it to you trekking leader or guide if you have any health inconveniences. You will immediately be rescued. Drink plenty of hot drinks and do not smoke in the higher elevation. Have balanced diet and have sound sleep.
