Larkya La Pass is the highest point in Manaslu trekking which is at the elevation of 5,106 metres (16,752 ft) and alos a popular vantage point.
Manaslu Trekking Best Time of the Year
Between Sept to mid of the November is the best time for Manaslu Trekking. The weather is mild and pleasant. The mountain views are magnificent.
Manaslu Trekking permits
Since Manaslu Trekking is a restricted and remote area trekking, we have to obtain special trekking permit which will be collected by the tour or trekking company through which you are making your trek. The restricted area permit costs $70 first week + $10 if you want to prolong your trek thereafter.
We alos have another mesmerizing valley named Tsum Valley. To enter this valley we have to pay approximately: Sep to Nov US$35 for first 8 days, Dec to Aug US$25 for first 8 days. Days in Tsum don’t count against your Manaslu permit. But double check at the time you go.
Manaslu Trekking food and Accommodation
We will have organic food items produced locally. You are provided a menu amd you can go with the items mentioned in the menu. Basically, breads and Nepal dishes are popular in Manaslu region. One item of the food costs $4-9.
We will be experiencing very normal rural accommodation during the trek. The beds will neat. The toilets will normally be outside. The teahouses are made up of wooden planks. We suggest you to bring your sleeping bag.
Manaslu Trekking Distance
The total distance of Manaslu Trekking from Soti Khola to Dharmasala is 177 km. We divide this distance for 13- 17 days. We have to work 5-7 hours a day in average.
