Commence your 11 days Gokyo Trek with a short and spectacular flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Enjoy walk via Lukla airport and Lukla Town. Observe the country lifestyle of the local Sherpa people. Further, trek to Phakding and spend the first night there.
Trek to Manjo where you will get your National Park Permit is checked. Now, begin your walk in Sagarmatha National Park along Dudhkoshi River. You will experience beautiful hills and the lush forest. Ascend to Namche Bazar.
Namche Bazar is popular as both tourist and trade hub for entire Khumbu region. Traditional Tibetan Market, Sherpa Cultural Museum, modern restaurants and hotels and alluring view of Mt. Amadablam are the major attractions of Namche Bazar. We hike up to Hotel Everest View and celebrate magnificent landscapes and views of majestic mountain summits including Mt. Everest.
Pass Namche and the further ascent takes us to Machhemro via Dole and finally to incredible Gokyo Valley. We will astonish to see this beautiful valley in the heart of Himalayas and the grand Gokyo Lake. The Gokyo Lake is a natural freshwater lake in Gokyo Valley which is completely frozen during winter. We enjoy this stay at Gokyo valley enjoy the breathtaking scenenary and the serene Gokyo Lake.
Rise early in the morning; ascend to the apex of Gokyo Ri, the highest point of 11 days Gokyo Trek. Enjoy the life- changing mountain panorama including Mt. Everest, Cho Yu, Loa Tse, Makalu and many other alluring snow-fed mountain peaks. Walk down to Gokyo Valley and tek back to Namche and then to Lukla. Take another short flight to Kathmandu to end your 11 days Gokyo Trek.
Note: Lukla flights, sometimes, gets disturbed due to bad weather condition which creates poor visibility. So, it is recommended to have some spare days.

Accommodation
We will offer three star accommodations in Kathmandu . If you want to upgrade the accommodation, you have to pay some extra. Mountain accommodation during the trekking days will be very ordinary and basic. All accommodation will be on twin sharing basis. Single supplementary has to pay extra. We spend the night at lodges and guesthouses. We occasionally get attached bathrooms. eNepaltour Pvt. Ltd. tries its best to book the A grade accommodation in the mountain prior to the trekking unlike other populated regions.
Meals
We provide only breakfast in Kathmandu and all three meals ( breakfast, luch and dinner) during the trekking days. In the trekking days, you pick up the item mentioned in the menu at the lodge or guesthouse and you will enjoy it. Sometimes, in a big group, you may have buffet service too. This takes place especially in peak season (Sept-Nov). Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided at the guesthouse where we spent the night, lunch somewhere in the middle of the next destination and dinner at the guesthouse where we stay tonight. We offer you typical organic Nepali cushion which are really amazing.
Best Time to Travel
Autumn (Sept. to Nov.) and spring (March to May) are the best time for Trekking. The weather is delightful and pleasant during autumn. The mountain views are astonishing.
The hills are wrapped with beautiful flowering rhododendron during spring. Mjaority of the trekkers find Spring as the best time for 11 days Gokyo Trek since they love to see flowering rhododendron.
Winter( Dec-Feb) will be very harsh due to cold and cloudy weather which hide the mountain peaks.
Summer will be too hot for some trekkers. Heavy rainfall occurs and disturbs the transportation and even walk in the mountain.
Physical Condition and Experience
Those who can walk 5-7 hours in the mountain can do this trek. 11 days Gokyo Trek is a moderate and sometimes it becomes challenging trek in Everest Region Trekking . Regular exercise, jogging and short hiking enhance your stamina and confidence. Prior trekking experience and technical skills are recommended . These prior skills will be an asset for it.
Getting to the trailhead and Away
We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. It is short 35 minutes flight. Lukla is the beginning point of 11 days Gokyo Trek. We again end our 11 days Gokyo Trek at Lukla and take a scenic flight to Kathmandu.
Threats and Safety
We do not really face such terrible threats during this trekking. There is no any slippery and terribly steep trail . We do not challenge any glaciers and avalenches in 11 days GokyoTrek. However, it is hard to climb Gokyo ri during winter. For this, you need to see the weather condition and board on your trekking.
There are few cases the trekkers suffered from altitude sickness. It may be because dehydration and lack of stamina. And even sometimes, we have the problem of food poison. Report it to you trekking leader or guide if you have any health inconveniences. You will immediately be rescued. Drink plenty of hot drinks and do not smoke in the higher elevation. Have balanced diet and have sound sleep.
Keep your body warm with proper clothing and wear proper hiking or trekking boots.
